so do tell me, what is 4sg? |
4sg is a weekly event hosted by mediatech which essentially involves making a four second game (4sg) of a certain theme from start to finish in four hours. each participant leaves after four hours with of game in hand. |
how interesting. can you be more specific? |
all art, sound, and coding must be done within those four hours. no libraries beyond what is built into processing, our highly recommended environment of choice. the theme of the games is chosen at the start of the time by drawing a paper from a hat containing a topic from each participant. |
you weave a fascinating yarn. can i do it too? |
indeed. coders (and potential coders) of all levels are welcome. while each game is created by one person, collaboration is encouraged to promote learning and help get new coders over the never-made-a-game-before hump. show up every week to quickly build a portfolio of small, experimental games. |
rock solid. where and when? |
georgia tech, skiles 318, 6-10pm every sunday. in the comp media lab. if you don't have buzzcard access, it may be a pain to get in there, but you can contact either robfitz[at]gatech.edu or devin[at]gatech.edu and we'll sort it out. |
